SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

General Management

* Conceptualized, developed, and launched Abel Health Management Services, Inc. became the largest, private home care company in New York. Created corporate vision, developed strategic and tactical business plans and operating infrastructures to support business development and position company as major competitor in the marketplace.
* Built new venture from 1 person start-up to 585 employees, generating $36 million in annual revenues over eight year period. Held full P&L responsibility, providing leadership to 28 person senior management team.
* Established operational policies regarding work flow processes, business efficiencies, quality control, and cost containment.
* Established solid infrastructure which included devising policies and procedures for accounting and administrative operations, staffing, and payroll systems.
* Re-engineered staffing and operations, and established new reporting mechanisms to successfully transition company through aggressive period of expansion.
* Played lead role in raising capital, negotiating and establishing relationships with bankers and investors. Worked with investment bankers in managing road show process for presentation to potential buyers.

* Conceived, launched and held full P&L responsibility for Abel Ambulette and Medical Transportation Services, Inc. with 38 employees and $4 million in annual revenues. Built business from start-up into 38 employees, 30 vehicle operation.

Finance and Accounting

* Directed the development and establishment of accounting and finance functions for Abel Health Management Services, Inc.
* Guided the growth of division to full service operation including accounting, payroll, billing and collections, finance and budgeting. Established full accounting department and maintained relationships with Price Waterhouse and Manzi, Pino & Company.
* Developed and implemented financial systems and controls and established budgeting process, creating culture of financial accountability. Advanced profit performance through inception of systems for financial planning and forecasting.

Sales and Marketing

* Spearheaded the development of sales and marketing initiatives to enhance visibility of Abel Health Management Services, Inc., and support business development and growth. Built and managed team of 16 professionals responsible for tri-state area market.
* Created proactive sales tools which included design and writing of upscale brochure and other marketing collaterals.
* Wrote and delivered high impact presentations to successfully solicit and close deals with target market.
* Coordinated and attended industry-specific conventions and trade shows, setting up, operating and selling from booths.

Human Resources / Training and Development

* As President of Abel Health Managements Services, Inc, oversaw development and standardization of human resources policies and procedures, consistently revising policies to accommodate company’s growth and meet regulatory requirements.
* Standardized recruitment and hiring processes including procedures for recruitment, selection, promotion and separation. Implemented tracking methods to meet government requirements.
